Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 March 2025
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Unicourn ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
Unicourn is a synthetic data generation platform that allows users to generate, extend, and redact datasets using AI. The Service is provided on a credit-based model as described on our pricing page.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Upload data containing real personal information (PII) without appropriate authorisation.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service.
- Resell or redistribute generated outputs as a primary commercial product without our consent.
5. Data and outputs
You retain ownership of data you upload. You own the synthetic datasets generated using your instructions. Unicourn does not claim any rights over your generated outputs.
We are not responsible for the accuracy of generated data. Synthetic datasets are intended for testing, development, and non-production use.
6. Credits and billing
Credits are consumed per generation job. Unused credits on the Developer plan do not roll over. Paid plans are billed monthly. Refunds are handled at our discretion — contact [email protected] within 14 days of charge.
7. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unicourn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
